Butterfly collection

This collection is of nine beautiful cabinets which adorned our house as I was growing up near Sydney's Botany Bay. Purchased around 1961 by my father John Byrne who was briefly medical attendant to Harald Schrader before his death at age ~85. We kept the collection together for 30 years, selling six of the cabinets to 'The Butterfly Farm' at Wilberforce on the Hawkesbury River. Little is known of the reclusive dentist who made them. Photos taken by Ron Falson and Andrew Byrne.
